The European Space Agency’s Blue Economy project is a 2-year activity funded under the remit of the Earth Observation Envelope Programme 5 (EOEP5) Regional Initiative. It arose in direct response to major discussion points gathered during the “Atlantic from Space Workshop” hosted by the NOC in Southampton in January, 2019.
A key element of this initiative, the Blue Economy team will demonstrate 3 case studies using Earth Observation to animate the Blue Economy. In parallel, it will support the development of Innovation Clusters, road-mapping a way forward for Blue Economy innovations beyond the project timeframe.
